SICILY. Selinos. Circa 540-515 BC. Didrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 9.09 g). Selinon leaf; to upper left and right, pellet; two more pellets flanking stem and taking form of eyes of a facing head of a panther. Rev. Incuse square divided into eight sections with Maltese cross form. Arnold-Biucchi Group I, 5. HGC 2, 1210. Selinus Hoard 30. SNG ANS 666. Beautifully toned and perfectly centered. Thin edge crack, otherwise, extremely fine.
